Indeed Dave Brubeck and Paul Desmond carry on the rich tradition layed down by Lennie Tristano and Warne Marsh but with more swing and less stoicism. I recommend this disc to anyone who likes long sweet alto lines and lyrical keyboard work. The rhythm section is servicable but the real stars are Mr. Brubeck and Mr. Desmond/5(8).

Personnel Dave Brubeck (piano) Paul Desmond (alto sax) Lloyd Davis (drums) Ron Crotty (bass) Notes. 1. This album was never released by Fantasy on CD; the reason it has been suggested is that Dave Brubeck was unhappy with the recording. 2.
