Fragile Equality is based on a story that was co-written by Edu and deals with maintaining balance in all aspects of life. The result is an album that is much better than Angra's last effort Aurora Consurgens as far as I'm concerned and has similarities to Rebirth era material yet explores other aspects of power metal that fall outside the realm of the typical Angra sound.

To clear up some things – Almah was supposed to be a solo career for Angra’s longtime, second vocalist, Edu Falaschi. Only to be Edu’s official new band some years later after Fragile Equality was released. Nevertheless, that‘s beside the point, that was just a bit of background knowledge really.

Almah followed up with Fragile Equality in , the first album from them as more of a full band. Apart from Edu it featured a completely different line-up. Almah's third album, Motion, was released in The album features more of a groove metal orientated sound opposed to the group's previous releases.

A word that comes to mind when listening to Fragile Equality is diverse, the album begins with the killer Power Metal anthem "Birds Of Prey", an auspicious beginning to say the least, followed by the ultra catchy and melodic "Beyond Tomorrow", "Magic Flame" delivers a pure melodic Speed Metal attack that bludgeons the senses. "All I Am" quiets.

Invisible Cage Lyrics: Find out the intentions / Behind eyes temptations / Who gets the keys to the stars? / You try all the reasons / To find all solutions / But you cannot seem to describe / How.

More than a single listen is necessary. From here expect more power metal with tricks and change ups including some thrash (ala Metallica) on 'Fragile Equality,' some subtle progressive elements ('You'll Understand'), pure melodic metal ('Invisible Cage') and the near ballad like in 'Shade Of My Soul.' The last two are the best songs on the album.
